1. World's Wetland Day | February 02
A program to mark the World Wetlands Day celebrations was held at Okhla Bird Sanctuary. Gautam Buddh Nagar has four major wetlands - Dadri wetland, Surajpur wetland, Okhla Bird Sanctuary and the recently notified Dhanauri and Parsaul wetlands.
2. Auto Expo 2016 - The Motor Show | February 05-09
The biennial motor show - Auto Expo 2016, hosted at the India Expo Mart, with 108 product launches and global unveilings, 65 manufacturer exhibitors from across the globe and over 6 lakh footfall was the most spectacular event of the year. This motor show is touted as the biggest in Asia and second largest in the world. - A blog post on our visit to the expo coming up soon.
3. 6th 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car rally | February 06-07
Sixth edition of 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally and Concours Show was a treat to the car enthusiasts in Noida and NCR. This two-day event had a vintage car rally and controlled speed car races in various categories - classic cars, war vehicles, pre-world war I and post war cars. The rally had started from historical Red Fort and concluded at Formula1 Racing Tracks at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida. A photography and painting contest was organized on the sidelines.
4. Horse and Bike Polo Match | February 06-07
The horse polo and cycle polo events organized for the first time in the district was held at Zonal Sports Complex in Greater Noida. The two day event saw winners of Diplomat's cup and Bharat Polo cup. It certainly was a treat to sports fans.
5. 4th Global Festival of Journalism 2016 | February 12-14
Fourth edition of Global Festival of journalism 2016 was organized by International Journalism Center. Incidentally February 12 is marked as the World Journalism Day. The festival had workshops, seminars, book releases, master classes, interactions, symposiums, talks, documentary film festival, news and current affair competitions, entertainment programs and award evenings.
6. Valentine's Day | February 14
Valentine's Day is the day of love and the Noida Malls drench themselves in red hues of the Love. Besides valentines shopping and taking a shufti around the malls through appreciating the decorations Noida had parties for the Pre-Valentines and Valentines day.
7. Mughal Gardens - Udyanotsav 2016 | February 12 - March 19
We are a big fan of flower shows so this fantastic Mughal gardens at the Rashtrapti Bhavan in Delhi finds a mention in our list of Fab Feb Events. President Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated 'Udyanotsav' early in the month which marks the opening of Mughal Gardens to general public.
8. Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony at Shaheed Smarak | February 17
Every year in February in Noida residents, veterans, family members of martyrs, Noida officials, serving defense personnel, students and staff of Army Public School come together for annual wreath laying ceremony held at Shaheed Smarak. Chief of Army Staff General Dalbir Singh Suhag paid homage to the martyrs of Noida by laying the wreath on the occasion of 15th annual day of Shaheed Smarak Sanstha.
9. Garden Festival | February 19-21
Another flower show in capital New Delhi is a show not to be missed by garden lovers. But be ready to face heavy crowd of selfie enthusiasts photobombing virtually every click. - Blog post coming soon.
10. 41st IHGF Spring Fair | February 20-23
4700 trade visitors, 2800 exhibitors, over 2000 products on display enthralled volume buyers from over 110 countries and generated business inquiries worth Rs 1625 crore making it the largest fair of Indian handicrafts, home, lifestyle and fashion products. This B2B event had a vast product range on display at the fair including housewares, tableware, kitchenware, hotel-ware, home furnishing, home textiles, linens and made-ups, festive decor.
11. Botanical Garden Flower Show | February 25-28
Four-day flower show at the landmark Botanical Garden showcased over 200 varieties with a focus on raising awareness among masses about the medicinal uses of the plants and also educating them about variety of seed, flowers and plants. The highlight of the show was the arrangement of pots to display the Map of India. The other star attraction was seed weighing 30Kgs.
12. 30th Noida Flower Show - Vasant Utsav 2016 | February 26-28
The 30th Noida Flower Show was a big success with 70 Stalls, 65 participants, and 7000 entries received. Held every year at the expansive grounds of Noida Stadium is a must-see event for nature lovers and garden enthusiasts. Cineraria was the theme flower of the show and pollution controlling plants and medicinal herbs were the focus of the show.

14. Noida College Fests | The whole of February
Amity university - Amity Youth Festival 2016, Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology - Onyx- a Literary Fest, ITS Engineering College - Udghosh 2016, Symbiosis Law School - Symfiesta 2016, Indus Business Academy - Spardha 2016 were the festivals organized during the larger part of february 2016.
