Did you know - there are over 1365 varieties of mangoes cultivated all over the world and India alone grows over 1000 varieties of this fruit. What could be the best way to celebrate this versatile fruit than to have a festival dedicated to it. Yes! The Mango Festival. Every year the mango festival is celebrated in different parts of the country in the month of June-July. Nearer home the International Mango Festival is held every year in Delhi since its inception in 1987. The festival is organized by Delhi tourism and the Delhi government at Dilli Haat. Another festival is being held in Noida at Radisson Blu Hotel where an array of dishes are prepared giving them a twist of mango to honor this tropical fruit.
1. THE INTERNATIONAL MANGO FESTIVAL AT DILLI HAAT
The must visit festival of summer is held annually at Dilli Haat, Pitampura. The festival showcases over 400 varieties of mangoes from different states of the country. The fest will display some exceptional varieties such as Sirki, Suwarn, Neeleshwari, Royal SP, Raddy Pasand, Himasagar, Kensington, Neelam, Banganpalli, besides popular Dushehari, Langra, Alphonso, Kesar, Papitiyo, Tommy Atkins, Sensation and Nazuk Badan. Mangoes such as Abdullah, Ramkela, Aishwarya, Bombay Green from Kaleemullah Khan’s nursery. And one of the rare species of the fruit Gula by Tariq Mustafa from Purkazi in Muzaffarnagar.
One of the main attractions of the festival is the Mango eating competition. The festival provides agro-industries and food processing industries the opportunity to display their products. The idea is to give exposure to the domestic mango industry and exporters.

2. 3rd BENGAL MANGO MELA AT DILLI HAAT, INA
The 3rd Edition of Bengal mango festival being held in Delhi to provide a memorable treat to the fruit connoisseurs of Delhi during the summer season. The exposition aims to promote the eclectic range of mangoes produced in West Bengal as Gulabkhas, Dilkhush, Amrapali, Langra, Fazli, Himsagar and Laxmanbhog, the last three having received the coveted registration under the Geographical Indication (GI) Index.

3. 27th MANGO FESTIVAL AT DILLI HAAT, JANAKPURI
The 27th International Mango Festival will be inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at Dilli Haat. More than 600 varieties of mangoes will be showcased here with deshahri, mallika, chausa, aamrapali, langda, ramkela being the preferred choices. For this edition of the three day festival, the Delhi Tourism department has got 13 farmers and nine government institutions to showcase the variety of mangoes. The Festival is open for public and one can buy the fruit or the processed fruit such as mango pulp, mango jams, pickles, chutneys and other mango preserves.

2. AAM-E-KHAAS FESTIVAL AT S18, RADISSON BLU, NOIDA
A mango festival is already underway at Radisson Blu, MBD hotel, Noida. The scrumptious fruit festival is a mango lovers' delight where the delicious tempting aromatic mangoes are prepared in new forms to spoil the lovers with an array of choices. S18, the twenty four seven brasserie and coffee shop, famous for its world cuisines and chic ambiance, has come with an innovative idea to tiltilate the palate of its customers and has curated varieties of mango preparation combined in an authentic festival ' Aam-e-Khas'.
